AC/DC Named Most Trusted Aussie Music Brand

News.com.au reports that AC/DC has been named the most trusted Australian music brand in a new report released by brand expert Simon Hammond.

"Great music brands don't try too hard — they just are," Hammond said. "AC/DC live the great Australian psyche of battling. They work hard and play hard."

Hammond looked at hundreds of local musicians, assessing their credibility based on his brand methodology — belief, belonging and behaviour.

He said AC/DC had proved themselves to be real.

Punters packed Sydney's inner city Lansdowne Hotel late on Friday night to be the first in the country to buy AC/DC's new album, "Black Ice", when it went on sale at midnight.

Music stores were inundated with pre-sales as thousands more were sold yesterday.

"I love their style," said student Stephanie Simmons, 18. "I've grown up with them."
